I spent the 2013 summer on another long-distance adventure, with my good friends Tom Emme and Will Oxley. We mountain-biked 4107 miles/6609 kms from Anchorage, Alaska, back to Minneapolis, Minnesota; Toms home town.

After the bike-ride, Tom and I spent a month driving around the USA, visiting a number of National Parks.

Weight-be-damned, I took my D800 and 3 lenses with me for the bike ride, and both my D800, D4 and 4 lenses for the National Park driving trip. The aim was to thoroughly enjoy the photographic experiences, as well as the physical challenges, and hopefully end up with some stunning images for my portfolio... For my own pleasure, and hopefully to make some sales.  I’m extremely satisfied with the results. Here’s a selection of my shots.
