Tom and I spent the summer of 2009 hiking over 2600 miles from the Mexican border to Canada.

Tougher then the paddle trip, mostly because of the lack of enough food and the extreme physical demands, we both agree it was the most arduous but rewarding trip we’ve made yet.

Hiking through stunning scenery, every days hard work was rewarded with amazing sights and sounds, from the desert around Mojave to the snow covered mountains of the Sierra Nevada onwards north to the dense forests of the Cascades in Washington.
